Menton, Riviera & Merveilles is on the south eastern tip of the Alpes-Maritimes, bordering Italy and Monaco. This outstanding area reaches from the Mediterranean coastline up the Roya and Bévéra Valleys to the Mercantour Mountains.

To reach Menton

  • Take the National 7 motorway

From Nice:

  • Take the 59 exit (Menton) on the A8 motorway
  • Take the 57 exit (La Turbie) and follow signs to your destination (Menton, Beausoleil, Roquebrune-Cap-Martin etc.)
  • Take the 56 exit (Monaco) and follow signs to your destination (Menton, Beausoleil, Roquebrune-Cap-Martin etc.)

From Italy:

  • Take the 59 exit (Menton) on the A8 motorway
  • Take the 58 exit (Roquebrune-Cap-Martin) and follow signs to your destination (Menton, Beausoleil, Roquebrune-Cap-Martin etc.)
  • Take the Ventimiglia

From Nice or Italy:

  • Get off the train at Menton station in central Menton (TGV, LGV and TER services)
  • Get off the train at Menton-Garavan station a kilometre from the Italian border (TER services)
  • Get off the train at Carnolès station in central Roquebrun-Cap-Martin (TER services)
  • Get off the train at Cap Martin Roquebrune station near the beaches and Cap Moderne (TER services)
  • Get off the train at Monaco station to reach Beausoleil (TGV, LGV and TER services)

Sospel and Moulinet

From Nice:

  • Take the 59 exit (Menton) on the A8 motorway towards Menton/Sospel

From Italy:

  • Take the Savona exit onto the A10 motorway towards Ventimiglia, keep to the A8 motorway and take the 59 exit (Menton) towards Menton/Sospel

There’s no station in Moulinet so you need to stop at Sospel station and take the F bus and stop at Sospel le Merlanson.

From Nice or Italy:

  • Do not take the Ventimiglia exit (Italy) as you can’t reach Roya from it.
  • Take the 59 exit (Menton) on the A8 motorway and follow directions to Sospel then Col de Brouis until you reach Breil-sur-Roya and Tende
  • Train of Wonders  from Nice in summer: Visits all the Roya villages. You can also take this train from Sospel to reach Tende.
