Cherry is a 6-year-old girl. She lives with her parents on their large estate. Her mother sends her to school and teaches her music and painting.
Cherry is fascinated by the birds she sees from her large terrace, but doesn't realize that her overprotective father prevents her from spreading her wings. But on her seventh birthday, she receives a pair of binoculars that enable her to... see further. That's how she discovers Flower, the gardener's daughter, who wanders freely and yet is the same age as her. Flower talks about a bird Cherry has never seen before, the nightingale. From that moment on, Cherry has only one thing on her mind: to go and meet her.
