Exhibition of works by Humphrey Waterfield. Opening Saturday October 4 at 18.30
Humphrey Waterfield was an artist and a gardener. He was active in Menton from 1945 util his death in 1971 - living at his parents' house the Clos du Peyronnet in Garavan.
The paintings in this exhibition were all painted in Garavan - many from the Clos. They all belonged to his nephew William Waterfield who came to run the garden after Humphrey's death. They are being sold by his widow Judith Pillsbury, to benefit the Church of St John's and the St John's Library
