- L'Aurore by Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau - 1927 Organ G.B. Lingiardi & Fils, 1849, opus 90 Paul Goussot, organ improvisation
Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau's Sunrise (1927) is a masterpiece of silent cinema, celebrated for its visual and emotional power. This poetic drama tells the story of a peasant tempted by a femme fatale from the city, ready to commit the irreparable, before rediscovering the sincere love of his wife. Filmed with innovative direction and sumptuous photography, L'Aurore transcends time with its universal narrative. Accompanied by the Brig organ, it recaptures its original magic, where image and music merge for a spellbinding experience, reinventing the emotion of Murnau's masterpiece on the big screen.

Paul Goussot was born in Bordeaux in 1984. He is a harpsichordist, organist and improviser. A professor at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Genève and the Conservatoire de Rueil-Malmaison, he trained at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, where he won prizes in harpsichord, organ, harmony, counterpoint, fugues and forms, basso-continue and improvisation, and was a prizewinner at prestigious international competitions (Bruges, St. Albans, Haarlem) . A passionate fan of silent cinema, he has accompanied screenings at the Musée d'Orsay, the Cinémathèque Française and the

Maison de la Radio.
