Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau's Sunrise (1927) is a masterpiece of silent cinema, celebrated for its visual and emotional power. Paul Goussot was born in Bordeaux in 1984. He is a harpsichordist, organist and improviser. A professor at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Genève and the Conservatoire de Rueil-Malmaison, he trained at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, where he won prizes in harpsichord, organ, harmony, counterpoint, fugues and forms, basso-continue and improvisation, and was a prizewinner at prestigious international competitions (Bruges, St. Albans, Haarlem) . A passionate fan of silent cinema, he has accompanied screenings at the Musée d'Orsay, the Cinémathèque Française and the

Maison de la Radio.
