La Navette

A 100% electric bus to get around Menton

The French Riviera Community and Zest network have launched La Navette, a silent 100% electric bus with no CO2 emissions for an eco-friendly way to get around Menton town centre. The green La Navette bus has twenty seats and its battery lasts almost 200km. The daily service takes you from the train station to the market via the Biovès Gardens, seaside and Bastion. A non-stop service every 20 mins from 9am-6pm. And you don’t need to buy a pass as the shuttle bus is totally free.

Menton, Riviera & Merveilles is home to several train stations with TER train services.

Tourist trains

The region’s tourist trains are a greener way to travel and explore the French Riviera’s gems.

During the summer season: you can take the Train des Merveilles train from Nice to the Roya Valley. Along the way, you’ll enjoy commentary by a guide who will highlight the beauty of the landscape and the rich artistic and cultural heritage of the hinterland of Nice and Menton. The Train des Merveilles runs at 9.15 am on weekends from 30 March to 26 May (+ Monday 1 April; Wednesday 8, Thursday 9 and Friday 10 May; Monday 20 May) and every day from Saturday 1 June to Sunday 1 September.

In winter: the Casterino Snow Train runs every Saturday and Sunday from 13 January to 18 February, from 16 to 17 March 2024 and every day during the school holidays from 24 February to 10 March 2024. Discover or rediscover the resort of Castérino, where authenticity and simple pleasures are offered to you and your family, all in an exceptional setting!
Or climb aboard the Train des Merveilles Hiver. Board the Nice-Breil-Tende TER departing from Nice-City at 9.15am and enjoy free entertainment every day from 17 February to 3 March 2024. It will take you to the Roya Valley, with commentary by a guide who will highlight the beauty of the landscape and the rich artistic and cultural heritage of the hinterland. To take advantage of the commentary on board, please contact the tour guide before boarding so that you are all in the same car.

A tourist train regularly runs through Menton to introduce you to the Pearl of France’s secrets.
