Campé paragliding take-off site
Take-off at Campé: alt. 810 m - East-south-east facing.
We take off here with slope and valley breezes. Not suitable for take-off from the north or north-east.
LANDING: In the bed of the Roya at the Giandola de Breil, at an altitude of 300 m, on the right bank of the river.
Secondary landing possible in case of emergency alongside route 6204 at Giandola de Breil.
The take-off site at Breil à Campé is used for take-off and landing. In established conditions, the breeze strengthens during the day until late afternoon (around 5pm). You need to control the landing on take-off. The loss of altitude for the approach to the field takes place to the north of take-off.
You can take off in ALL SEASONS if the take-off is sufficiently fed by the breeze, which generally has a slight crosswind.
There are thermals which allow you to reach the relief behind the take-off (west) with a few hundred metres above this relief; you can try to reach l'Arpette which is just opposite the take-off.
The take-off site is on private property. Please respect the site. This take-off site is only open to LICENSED PILOTS (agreement with Breil-sur-Roya town hall and the owner of the take-off site).
WEATHER GAUGE: The club has equipped the take-off site with an anenometer (to be installed in early 2024).
