This family-run inn is run with passion and conviviality. Owner Dominique and her son Théo share tasty mountain recipes, prepared using local produce.
Situated at an altitude of 1600 m, on the edge of the Mercantour National Park, the Val Casterino inn is the ideal starting point for hikes to the Vallée des Merveilles and Fontanalba, as well as visits to the rock engravings. What could be better than to be back in nature, in the fresh air, in infinite space, with larch trees in their summer garb and marmots just around the corner? The inn is a friendly place to be in all seasons: in winter, you can warm up by the fire with a hot drink or a good meal, and in summer, you can relax on the terrace when you return from a hike in the Mercantour Park.
You'll find all kinds of local produce in their kitchen: Casterino cheeses, Brigue honey, Roya charcuterie and Angus meat...
In May and October, the establishment adapts its weekday opening hours from time to time. We advise you to check availability by telephone before coming, especially for the restaurant.
