- Start at the lower bridge; turn left past the hydroelectric dam
- Pass by the washhouse at Place Rousse and follow the fortification wall to marker 3
- Continue to the Chapel of Saint Antoine Ermite and pass under the Gate of Genoa until you reach an oratory (marker 105)
- Turn left onto the winding trail that climbs through narrow terraces of abandoned olive trees
- Arrival at the houses of Vésaire
- After passing the ruins of the old quarry, you’ll reach the heart of the upper Carléva basin (890 m)
- Upon reaching marker 107, begin the descent toward the Roya Valley via a steep trail, then continue along the beautiful cobblestone path of Rougna (marker 104)
- Return to Breil-sur-Roya via the old bridge over the Carleva.
