The chapel is the place where the confreres gather and exercise their piety. Moreover, they magnify it by decorating it with works of art. The Penitents thus played a major role in the constitution of the regional atistic patrimony.

The chapel was inscribed as a historic monument in 1952.
The chapel is used for occasional exhibitions. It is closed the rest of the time,but from the outside you can admire its trompe l'oeil façade.
