Ecomuseum of the Wonder Train

For several years now, volunteer members of the Breil-sur-Roya Ecomuseum Association have been collecting rare artifacts related to the history of transportation in our region. Locomotives, train cars, railcars, trolleybuses, and vintage streetcars are on display both outdoors and under a shed, right next to the train station, the tracks, and a railroad crossing. The collections of artifacts and models are displayed inside the old train cars, which have been refurbished for this purpose. The Ecomuseum also offers a train driving simulator for a session lasting approximately 10 minutes, depending on how busy the museum is during your visit. You can book a guided tour on Sundays with the association’s volunteer railroad workers. Reservations are available in the mornings for groups of 15 or more. To use the simulator for one hour, you can make a reservation on the website—the fee is 5 euros.
