It dates from 1867 and in 1900 it is designated as the Windsor Palace Hotel.
The name Regina Palace appeared in 1911 and is described as a 1st order hotel open from September to May. It remained active during the war. During the Italian occupation in 1942, the basement was transformed into an air-raid shelter. Heavily damaged during the war, the hotel reopened in 1949 until its final closure in 1952 and its transformation into a condominium apartment building. The garage wing along the west wall of the plot was built in 1954.
