Water from the "Fontana sourana" (upper fountain) springs in the upper part of the village and feeds the "haut du village" washhouse.
The roof beams are covered with violet lauzes, while the fountain and wash house are made of green stone from Tende. The copper spout continuously discharges the water that the housewives come for in wooden or tinned copper cuttlefish. They meet at the wash-house to wash their laundry and exchange news.
