Hiking the Cime Missoun

  • A hike on the Franco-Italian ridge line, exceptional panoramas on Brigasque land at more than 2000 meters above sea level. Plan to leave early.

  • Reach the starting point of the hike at Pas du Tanarel in a 4x4. Two possible accesses, either from the village of La Brigue or from the village of Monesi in Italy. Park your vehicle near the Pas du Tanarel, near the ruined sheepfold. Follow the path that heads north towards the Ventose summit. The path follows the ridge and alternates between small climbs and descents. Along the way you can notice several small boundary markers. Continue towards Pointe Farenga. Below, on the Italian side, you can see part of the Haute Route du Sel winding through the forest. Cross the Col de la Gravairole then follow the climb to a small path that goes to the left towards the top of the Cime Missoun. You have arrived ! If you are reckless you can continue to Mont Bertrand. Return by the way to go.
