Lower Berghe hamlet

Historic site and monument, Historic patrimony, Town / Village, 17th C in Fontan
  • The adorable hamlet of Berghe inférieur, nestled in its age-old chestnut groves, welcomes you at the end of the vertiginous road cut into the purple rock.
Facing due east, it tumbles down the steep slopes, perched on its cultivated terraces.

  • What to see:
the old hamlet clinging to the mountain, its narrow streets, its gardens and the lovely chapel of Our Lady of the Rosary, typical of the Baroque style of rural chapels in the 18th century.
The footpath that leads from Berghe Superior to Berghe Lower.
