Saint Bernard oratory

Historic site and monument, Religious heritage, 19th C, 20th C in Breil-sur-Roya

  • Located on the right bank of the Roya from the road to the Col de Brouis and Piène Haute.

  • The chapel of Saint Bernard having been destroyed during the construction of a house, an oratory was built in the square dedicated to the Saint. The chapel was still mentioned on the 1864 cadastre, and it can still be seen on an engraving from the 1865’s.

    Every year, the Feast of Saint Bernard is celebrated on the last weekend of August.
