Station built at the beginning of the 20th century.
There were more than 13 tracks for the transport of goods by train to the Italian regions of Piedmont and Liguria.
The building is closed, but the station is in operation.
The imposing station at Saint-Dalmas-de-Tende was built by the Italian railways on behalf of Mussolini. The dictator had a country house in Saint-Dalmas which can be seen from the station.

The border station was inaugurated in 1928 on the occasion of the opening of the Nice-Coni railway line. It became French when Tende and La Brigue became part of France in 1947.
