These buildings were used in the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s and 1980s by an SNCF holiday camp. To the south, the station at Fontan-Saorge fulfilled the same role on the French side. The building, less imposing, but just as large for a stopover, now houses an SNCF holiday centre.
