Stay "Gestes premiers": Gathering, building, heating

o leave for 2 days, in the middle of nature, to discover these first gestures to live unforgettable moments, sources of adventure, experimentation and simple pleasures.
To experience autonomy in the wilderness, to find in ourselves the strength and confidence that make us freer in our life choices.
Re-weaving the links with the plant world, re-connecting with our true nature, cooperating, sharing, experimenting. This is our ambition!
Indicative programme :
Day 1:
Welcome in the early morning in the upper Roya
Departure for a short hike to the bivouac site and installation.
Start of the workshops according to the desires and interests of each person:
- Learn to light a fire without matches
- Preparing a stone oven
- Making a basket, a basket or a fish pot out of wild basketry

After lunch, we will go for a short nature walk to discover the natural resources around us: edible and medicinal plants, plants to weave...
We will take the opportunity to collect the plants needed to make our evening meal and our basketry creations.

Back at the camp, everyone will be able to do the activity of their choice, in a spirit of cooperation:
- Continuation of the morning workshops
- Preparation of the next day's meal and picnic, partly made from wild plants
- Setting up the camp using the natural resources of the area
- Preparation and lighting of the fire, the stone oven...

Day 2 :
After breakfast by the stream, we go on a short nature walk. We will deepen our knowledge and understanding of the world around us, plant, animal and mineral.
At the end of the morning, we will be able to resume the workshops and finalise our work. Other workshops can be envisaged:
- Making objects from tree bark, bone
- Making jewellery from natural materials
- Making a bow and arrow

In the early afternoon, we will finish our work and then we will go back to our vehicles around 5pm.

Equipment to bring :

Small rucksack for personal belongings during outings
Waterproof jacket or umbrella
Warm clothes for the evening and summer clothes for the day
Hiking shoes
Warm duvet (we can lend you one if necessary)
Headlamp
Knife
Camera, binoculars...
Notebook and pencil if necessary, to take notes.
Scissors and tape if you want to make a small herbarium of the course.
You will be accommodated in a tent in the mountains. We will have a teepee and a large tent for shelter if necessary.
Meals, apart from the picnic on the first day, will be prepared together in the form of a workshop and will be made from wild plants and fresh organic local produce.
The price includes all meals from Saturday noon included to Sunday noon included, accommodation in a light structure, the loan of bivouac mattresses, the provision of equipment and raw materials necessary for the workshops (the objects made will remain the property of the participants), the supervision of the course by speakers specialising in ethnobotany, geology, "soft survival" and natural medicines.
