Bus an inter-municipal and departmental network

The Zestbuswill take you from Menton to many of the villages on the French Riviera!
On board the buses: Single ticket at €2 (or €1.80 by credit card) or 1-day ticket at €5.

Good to know:

  • All vehicles are equipped with GPS. At each stop there is a pink box with a QR Code that you can flash to find out the waiting time in real time.
  • When an incident occurs during the sales office’s opening hours (from 7.30am), a text message is sent to those registered for real-time traffic information.
  • The “Bus On Time” application, which can be downloaded onto smartphones, also collects live data from vehicles.
  • You can also use the Moovit urban mobility application to travel with complete peace of mind on the Zestbus public transport network.

La Navette a 100% Electric Vehicle to get around Menton

The French Riviera Community and the Zest network have launched La Navette, a 100% electric vehicle that is both silent and CO2-free, making it easier to get around Menton town centre. Green in colour, La Navette has around twenty seats and a range of almost 200km. It takes you every day from the SNCF station to Les Halles, via the Biovès gardens, the seafront and the Bastion. It runs continuously from 9am to 6pm, every 20 minutes. And there’s no need for a season ticket – the Shuttle is 100% free.

Menton, Riviera & Merveilles has several SNCF stations regularly served by TER trains. These stations will enable you to connect with different regions!

Ticket office opening times:

  • Menton Garavan: Wednesdays from 2pm to 4pm
  • Menton: Monday to Saturday, 8am to 12pm and 1pm to 4.30pm / Sundays and public holidays, 12pm to 5.30pm
  • Carnoles: Monday and Friday, 9am to 12pm and 1pm to 4pm / Wednesday, 9.15am to 12.45pm
  • Sospel: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9.10am to 12pm
  • Breil sur Roya: daily from 5.45am to 12.35pm and from 1.35pm to 8.40pm

Set up by the region, these tourist trains are a gentler way to travel and discover the wonders of the French Riviera.

Menton’s Little Tourist Train

In Menton, a small tourist train runs regularly to help you discover the secrets of the “Pearl of France”.

The Wonder Train

Rediscover this route! Guided tours on board the 9.32am train from Nice (on ZOU train 22991).

  • From 14 February to 1 March: every day
  • From 4 April to 1 November :
    Weekends and public holidays in April, May, October and November (including 1st May). Every day from June to September.
    Possible return journeys from Tende are at 12.59pm and 4.38pm.

Castérino Snow Train

Your day in the fresh air at Casterino station, every weekend between 10 January and 15 March 2026 and every day from 14 February to 1 March 2026.

  • Departure Nice Ville – 8.32 am (Train ZOU 881309 → arrival Breil 9.43 am, then shuttle to Castérino).
  • Day at Castérino resort (snowshoeing, Nordic activities, panoramic views).
  • Return by shuttle at 4.30pm, change for ZOU train at 5.48pm, arriving in Nice at 7.03pm.
  • Combined Train + Shuttle fare: €15 adult / €6.50 child (return).

Alternative transport

For the more adventurous and/or sporty, it is possible to hire more gentle forms of transport such as bicycles, electric-assist bicycles, gyropods, unicycles or electric skateboards.

Menton and Roquebrune-Cap-Martin are equipped with Pony self-service bicycles.

  • The Menton Tourist Office, located at 8 avenue Boyer, 06500 Menton, is accessible to people with reduced mobility thanks to its reserved area just 3 metres from the entrance and its flat floor;
  • The traffic lights in Menton are equipped with a sound system;
  • The seafront is accessible to people with reduced mobility, making it a very pleasant place to stroll;
  • All public buses on the French Riviera are accessible;
  • If you are travelling by train, assistance is available by calling 36 35.
