How do you get here?

Between the sea and the mountains, Menton, Riviera & Merveilles is an exceptional area. It stretches from the shores of the Mediterranean to the peaks of the Mercantour massif, up the Roya and Bévéra valleys. The urban communities of the coast give way to the villages of the middle and high country. The diversity of its landscapes makes it a unique and precious mosaic.

How to get to Menton and the various coastal municipalities

Menton, Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, Beausoleil, Castellar, Sainte-Agnès, Gorbio, Castillon, La Turbie

  • Take the Nationale 7

From Nice, take :

  • Exit 59 (Menton) from the A8 motorway
  • Exit 57 (La Turbie) and follow the direction you want to go (Menton, Beausoleil, Roquebrune-Cap-Martin…)
  • Take exit 56 (Monaco) and follow the signs for Menton, Beausoleil, Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, etc.

From Italy, take :

  • Exit 59 (Menton) from the A8 motorway
  • Exit 58 (Roquebrune-Cap-Martin) and follow the desired direction (Menton, Beausoleil, Roquebrune-Cap-Martin…)
  • Take the Ventimiglia exit off the A10 motorway and follow signs for Menton via the seafront

If you are coming from Nice or Italy, you can get off at :

  • Menton station in the centre of Menton (served by TGV, LGV and TER trains)
  • Menton-Garavan station, one kilometre from the Italian border (served by TER trains)
  • Carnolès station in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin town centre (served by TER)
  • Cap Martin Roquebrune station, near the beaches and Cap Moderne (served by TER)
  • Monaco station for Beausoleil (served by TGV, LGV and TER trains)

Located 42 km from Menton, Nice Côte d’Azur international airport offers a range of ways to get around (car hire, public transport, taxis, etc.).

From Nice or Italy, taxis are available to take you to Menton.

  • On foot: the GR®52 arrives in Menton from Entraunes (Alpes-Maritimes) and the GR®51 arrives in Menton from Marseille.
  • By bike: There is a 39.14 km cycle route from Nice to Menton.

To join the Bévéra Valley

Sospel and Moulinet

From Nice:

  • Take exit 59 (Menton) off the A8 motorway towards Menton/Sospel.

From Italy:

  • Take the Savona exit to join the A10 motorway towards Ventimiglia, continue on the A8 motorway and take exit 59 (Menton) towards Menton/Sospel

The Zou network

  • Route 600 (Menton-Monaco-Nice centre) takes you to Nice in around an hour and 40 minutes via the coast: Timetable
  • Route 80 takes you from Menton to Nice (airport) via the motorway in 75 minutes: Timetable

To join the Roya Valley

Breil-sur-Roya, Fontan, Saorge, La Brigue, Tende, Castérino

From Nice or Italy:

  • Exit at Ventimiglia (Italy) and head for “Colle di Tenda – Cuneo” on the SS 20
  • Take exit 59 (Menton) off the A8 motorway and head for Sospel, then the Col de Brouis as far as Breil-sur-Roya and Tende.

The Zest network

  • Leaving from Menton bus station, route 25 runs from Breil-sur-Roya to Tende: Timetable
  • In summer, the Zest network runs unreserved shuttle services to tourist attractions and footpaths in the Roya valley:
