What is VeRo?

VeRo is a new tourist route between France and Italy, running alongside the Turin–Ventimiglia–Nice railway line. It has been developed to mark the line’s centenary, which will be celebrated on 30 October 2028, thanks to the European ‘Vermenagna-Roya III’ project. It comprises 12 main stops spread across 10 municipalities, between Borgo San Dalmazzo and Breil-sur-Roya, and offers an extraordinary train journey through the Tende Pass. These include sites of great historical significance, as well as new or fully renovated spaces – notably thanks to artistic interventions – where storytelling and interactions without digital devices alternate with immersive experiences and virtual reality. The VeRo stops will take you on a journey between the past and the future: choose your stops to discover and appreciate the characteristics and history of the railway and the two valleys.
