Description
Violin and guitar duo. The Kreusch-Orsan Duo consists of Doris Orsan on violin and Johannes Tonio Kreusch on guitar. Both studied at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and the Juilliard School of Music in New York.
Founded 25 years ago, this ensemble has enjoyed great success in the field of chamber music. Their tours as soloists and chamber musicians have taken them to numerous cities in Europe, the United States, the Far East, and the Americas, where they have performed in prestigious venues such as the Hamburg Music Hall, the Elmau Festival, the Gasteig in Munich, the Burghausen Festival “Look into the Future,” as well as other European venues such as the Festival Clásico en Verano in Madrid, the Beausoleil Chamber Music Festival, the Casino Theater in Winterthur, the Bratislava Chamber Music Festival, Mirabell Palace in Salzburg, and the Gitaar Festival in Antwerp.
Fono Forum magazine describes their latest CD, *Tangos & Canciones*, as “captivating,” and the music magazine *Folker* writes: “The way the Kreusch-Orsan duo brings the tango to life is magnificent; they perform Latin American and Iberian music with great verve and virtuosity.”
