These courses are designed for people wishing to learn the basics of wild basketry. Each participant will benefit from individual guidance according to his or her level and project.
The aim of these courses is to learn the basic techniques of wickerwork, both full-bottom and hoop. Wild basketry uses the same techniques as wickerwork. It will therefore be necessary to learn these different techniques.
Part of the course will involve identifying, harvesting and preparing plants that can be used for weaving. We can use clematis, bramble, dogwood, ash and lime, chestnut and hazelnut.
Basket-making is a demanding activity in terms of technical skills and "savoir faire". Taking part in a workshop can only be an initiation.
For an introductory course, the pieces we make are initially simple objects such as baskets, bird feeders and classic baskets.
