Bel itinéraire en balcon au pays des oliviers, au-dessus des vallées de la Roya puis de la Bévéra jusqu'à Piène Haute ou Sospel pour les plus sportifs.
20 metres after the lower Roya bridge on the right, take the GR (B2). During the climb, leave the GR and take a left turn towards "Piène-Haute direct": enjoy the delightful descent through the pines, junipers and arbutuses...After a brook, a climb in the shade of the pines comes to Piène Haute (which can also be spotted at the crest on the way). The end of the hike is an exceptional viewing point over the sea and the mountains!Follow the same route for the return journey.A variation, linking Piène Haute to Sospel can be taken, with return to Breil by train. Be aware, however, that this outward journey takes 5 hours and don't forget to obtain information regarding the return journey on the train.
