Giovanni Pastrone's Il fuoco (1915) is a masterpiece of Italian silent cinema. This flamboyant drama recounts the intense, destructive passion between a famous poetess and a young painter. With its powerful images and symbolism of fire, the film embodies the ardor of creation and the violence of feelings.
A true visual gem, it marks an essential step in the evolution of cinematic language.

The evenings, organ and silent cinema, are organized in two parts:
-8:30 pm: Discussion of the place of the church in the film and the history of organ improvisation in cinema.
-9pm: Screening of the film
For one evening, the church hosts a large screen to project a silent film accompanied by live organ improvisation.
The Cinéma de Beaulieu and the association AUTOUR DE, its technical partner for all the film evenings, were present and available.
