The Col de Tende tunnel, linking France and Italy in the heart of the Alps, has been accessible again since June 28, 2025, with modified opening hours to facilitate modernization work.

Open according to time slots, supervised by convoys:

From September 29, 2025 to December 4, 2025:
- Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays, opening hours as follows:
06:00 - 08:00
a) Direction Italy → France: first run at 06:00, last run at 07:30
b) Direction France → Italy: first run at 06:15, last run at 07:45
6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
a) Direction Italy → France: first passage at 18:00, last passage at 20:30
b) Direction France → Italy: first gateway at 6:15pm, last gateway at 8:45pm
- Saturday and Sunday, opening hours as follows:
06:00 - 21:00
a) Direction Italy → France: first gateway at 06:00, last gateway at 20:30
b) Direction France → Italy: first gateway at 06:15, last gateway at 20:45

From December 5, 2025 to January 11, 2026:
- Continuous opening from 06:00 to 21:00
a) Direction Italy → France: first gateway at 06:00, last gateway at 20:30
b) Direction France → Italy: first passage at 06:15, last passage at 20:45

Vehicles over 3.5 tons, buses, bicycles, pedestrians and vehicles transporting dangerous goods are prohibited.

As the "46 lacets" road is in the construction zone, access is closed to all types of vehicles. For bikes, detour via Casterino or take the Italian train between Tende and Limone.
