At the foot of Mont Bégo (2807 m) in the sacred site of the Vallée des Merveilles, discover the history of man: 40,000 engravings dating back to the Bronze and Copper Ages, the memory of an agropastoral people, testimony to an ancient culture.
Two main sites:
- The Fontanalba site: More pastoral, the engravings are quickly accessible, so it's recommended for children or people who don't want to make a long approach walk.
- The Lac Long site: More mineral, the engravings require a slightly longer approach walk, so it is recommended for a more experienced public. Access restrictions due to storm Alex, the site is no longer accessible via the trail, so excursions to the Lac Long site are suspended.
