In the early 20th century, the Trophée d'Auguste in La Turbie experienced a true renaissance. Archaeological excavations and major restoration work were undertaken, spearheaded by individuals passionate about Roman antiquity and the 2,000-year history of this stone colossus. It was during this period that the decision was made to give it its current appearance, with the distinctive silhouette we recognize today. An extraordinary project, a monumental challenge!
