The fishing territory of Tende is incredibly rich and consists of almost 120 kilometres of rivers and mountain streams. In addition to the rivers, there are three medium altitude lakes and 25 high mountain lakes.
The Tende fishermen's association is working hard to give a new lease of life to fishing in the area.
The documents required for fishing are: a valid federal fishing license and a Tende fishing association card.

2025 provisions :
- March 8, 2025: River opening: All ROYA tributaries (Vallons Canarese, Rio Code etc ... but main drain closed), specific Refrei opening upstream of the confluence with the Rouéou, specific Bieugne opening upstream of the RD91 bridge to Lac des Mesches (not included).
Roya on the Haute Roya AAPPMA sector: (from the Paganin factory to the Saint Dalmas de Tende road sign).
On these sectors 3 catches per day and per angler / size limit 25 cm, fishing with crushed barb on the whole sector.
- May 1, 2025: Opening Lacs des Mesches, Castérino, de la Minière and rivers upstream from Lac des Meshes to the first high mountain lakes.
In these sectors, 6 catches per day per angler / size limit 25 cm, fishing with crushed barb throughout the sector.
- From the 3rd Saturday in June (June 21, 2025): High-mountain lakes (over 1800m altitude) and connecting rivers.
In these sectors, 6 catches per day per angler / size limit 25 cm, fishing with crushed barb throughout the sector.
Fishing on the territory is authorized every day of the week.
GENERAL CLOSURE :
The 2nd Sunday in October for rivers (i.e. October 12, 2025), and until the last Sunday in October for all lakes in the area (i.e. October 26, 2025).
