Arrival at the lac des Mesches via a beautiful route lined with pine trees, with views of the Marguareis massif as you climb up the Spegi road, and of Mount Bego at the start of the path overlooking the Bieugne river which flows down from the Lac des Mesches.
- From the center of the village, cross the medieval town in the direction of the collegiate church. Continue along the street and, in front of the chapelle des pénitents noirs, take the rising street on your right, then continue up the street on your left.
- Go up behind the gîte d'étape "Les Carlines" and follow the signs for Spegi (marker 65).
- Pass signpost 342, continue along the road and pass signposts 343 and 344. From the latter, continue straight ahead on the charming Chemin de Valaire to marker 345, above Lac des Mesches. Descend to Lac des Mesches (marker 83).
- Go up behind the gîte d'étape "Les Carlines" and follow the signs for Spegi (marker 65).
