Nice flat walk under woods
In front of the town hall, cross the Place des Platanes to the Monument aux Morts. Turn left onto the tarmac road which passes to the left of the Coopérative Agricole buildings (marked in yellow). After about 500 m (B.103), turn right onto a track that crosses a level crossing, and follow it to the end.
It continues to the right along a path leading through undergrowth to the Suez valley. Note a local tree: the hop hornbeam (its fruit, shaped like a small lantern, is curiously reminiscent of that of the hop). We return to Sospel by the same route.
Variation (plus 2 hrs walk, 4.5 km and 250 m ascent)
Cross a valley and follow the right bank path up to the Cuore ruin, on a flat area. Continue to the right, behind the ruin, on a yellow-marked path. You pass by a barn and cross two wooded valleys. We continue along a long traverse on the mountainside to join (B. 107) the GR 52 path (marked red and white). Descend this path for 200 m. At this point, it joins a forest track which, bypassing the Castès hillock, takes us back to Sospel.
