Description
Where does music come from? How did Hermes invent the lyre? Why didn’t Athena like the aulos? Is it true that among the Greeks and Romans, music was everywhere and was a part of the daily lives of women, men, and children?
What better way to answer these questions through music than with a concert!
The musicians, like two explorers, take us on a playful journey through the music of antiquity. Bridging the past and the present, they use a play on mirrors to introduce us to melodies dating back two thousand years—from the time of Zeus, Apollo, Jupiter, Aphrodite, and even further back still...
Surrounded by ancient and modern instruments, they recount the mythological tales behind the origins of our string and wind instruments. Join them on a journey to discover the melodies and instruments of antiquity, and let yourself be carried away by the sounds of more modern instruments as well.
A concert followed by a hands-on workshop—perfect for the whole family—to immerse yourselves in the world of ancient music in a fun and accessible way.
Children must be accompanied.
