This large loop allows you to get away from the village and meet Nature. About twenty kilometers long, it is accessible to mountain biking and electrically assisted mountain biking. From La Brigue station, go up to the entrance to the village on Place Saint-Martin. There you will find the information desk. In front of the Saint-Martin collegiate church, a fountain with drinking water flows. To the left of the fountain, go up rue Filippi then at an intersection continue along rue Lieutenant Kalck until you leave the village where you will pass a fountain. Continue on the road that climbs after the bridge towards the valley of the meadows for about 2 kilometers. At the first intersection, turn right onto a winding road just after marker 249. Go up the valley of Mergiora. Pass the 247 marker and the intersection that follows then continue after the 246 marker towards the Géreron drop. After about a kilometer and a half you will arrive in front of a barrier, take the small climb to the right to reach the Géréon drop. This barrier will be the direction to follow to continue your journey after taking a short break and enjoying the landscape of the Géréon drop. Continue your journey down to the small barrier and following this dirt and rock track for about 6 kilometers. You will cross several wooded valleys with pleasant freshness. The last part, a little more exposed, will take you to the woods of Pinet. You then arrive on a portion of the friendship road. Continue downhill towards point 1236 then take the hairpin bend on a track that will cross the Bois du Pinet in the direction of the Notre Dame des Fontaines chapel. Pay attention to your pace, you may come across motorized vehicles on this section. Continue for approximately 6 kilometers to the Notre Dame des Fontaines chapel. Arrived at the chapel you can go down to the bottom of the valley to enjoy the freshness of the springs. The frescoes inside the chapel are magnificent to discover, the visit is worth the detour. To finish this loop, follow the asphalt road down to the village of La Brigue. A kilometer and a half after the chapel you come to an intersection, cross the bridge and turn left towards the village. You walk along an old mill and the old lime kiln. Below the lime kiln of the gorges forms a suitable place for swimming. One kilometer further on, you will pass the pont du coq, continue in the direction of the village. Cross the Boseille bridge and follow the road along the river to Place Saint-Martin.
