Place des Platanes in Sospel is a large, historic esplanade located along the Bévéra River. It was the site of Saint-Pierre Church in the 13th century.

Once a crossroads for travelers and a place of relaxation outside the strict medieval ramparts, it now serves as a lively hub for large gatherings, fairs, and the traditional Thursday market.
