Description
Hosted by Jacky Cosson, a retired research director at the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS).
The speaker will describe the mechanisms underlying the sense of smell, from the odor receptor cells located in the nose to the interpretation of odors in the human brain—as well as in the brains of other animal species. These mechanisms are part of a system known as “chemical language,” which is common to many species that we will explore.
