To address the overcrowding at the Vieux Château Cemetery, work on the Trabuquet Cemetery began in 1873.

The expansion completed in 1899 gave it its current layout. Walking through this site allows visitors to discover the history of the local and international figures who shaped the city or left their mark on it. In addition, part of the site is dedicated to military memorials, and the Tirailleur Memorial, established in 2012, serves as a reminder of our collective duty to remember.
