Built thanks to a public subscription, this monument contains the names of the Saorgians who died during the First World War.
A small water-jet basin is placed at the foot of the rock. The complex is surrounded by heavy artillery shells of great power, connected by a bronze chain. In 1946, the names of Lieutenant Jean Revelli, killed at the head of his section of Moroccan tirailleurs, of Louis Perissol, who died in deportation in Mathausen, and of Joseph Pastorelli, shot by the Nazis in Valensole, are added to the monument, and those of the Saorgians who died in Turin during their forced evacuation in December 1944.
