Sea & water sports

On the waterfront

The Menton, Riviera & Merveilles destination is lapped by the Meditteranean. Its Azur coast and prime microclimate mean life is good in Menton! There are lots of water sports to experience with sailing, boating, stand-up paddle and diving or you can just chill out by the seaside and go for a dip. It’s time to dive into a slice of coastal paradise.

Sailing & water sports

Thrills and spills

Menton Water Sports Centre provides sailing classes from beginner to advanced with specialist professional coaching. The centre also hires out windsurfing, catamaran, laser sailing, optimist dinghy and sea kayak (single or double) equipment. Last but not least, you can go waterskiing, wakeboarding or tubing in summer.

Roquebrune-Cap-Martin Sailing Centre on Carnolès Beach provides sailing, windsurfing, sailing dinghies, catamaran, sea kayaks and optimist dinghies all year round.

Take things slow

paddle boarding

Menton Water Sports Centre provides a qualified coach to give beginners SUP top tips. Grab your paddle, zip up your life jacket, tie your leash from your ankle to your board then it’s time to test your balance and ride the waves! It’s a low-intensity sport that suits anyone from families with kids (6 and over) to novices of all ages.

Bright skies and calm seas are ideal for SUP, the trendiest sport on our beaches. Stand up, sit down or lie down but just keep paddling!

Journées de la Mer Festival

Menton devotes one weekend in June to protecting the environment and sea. The Esplanade des Sablettes plays host to educational events: deep sea games, underwater archaeology introductions and guided sailing tours that everyone will love.
