Description
To open the BaroQuiales festival, come and discover a creation based on the bewitching and mysterious music of Renaissance master Roland de Lassus, for a journey into the heart of the night, dreams and oracles.
The ensemble La Chambre, under the direction of Jean-Sébastien Beauvais, will open the festival with an immersive creation revolving around the night and the myth of the Sibyls. In the delicate, suspended setting of the Monastère de Saorge, four male voices and a viola da gamba will dialogue and respond to each other in a unique immersive and marvelous experience, between sacred and secular music, past and present.
Inspired by the spellbinding music of Roland de Lassus, this concert will evoke the torpor of the night, its fears and pleasures, and the prophetic, enchanting words of dreams and oracles that guided men and Greek heroes - including Alexander - in their quest for greatness.
