Description

Since 1467, over a hundred figures have paraded between the Penitents and La Pausa chapels each year, as a sign of eternal gratitude.
The tradition has its origins in a novena of prayers to the Virgin Mary, which is said to have put an end to a plague epidemic. Six tableaux vivants retracing the Passion of Christ come to life in the village streets, blending fervor, history and emotion.
