L'enchantement de la forêt noire: a tale by Francesco Scarrone in partnership with the Festival de Musique Ancienne de la Roya.
The ensemble “La Chambre,” directed by Jean-Sébastien Beauvais, presents an immersive performance centered on the night and dreams. In the delicate, secluded setting of the Saorge monastery, four male voices and Ondine Lacorne’s viola da gamba will interplay in an experience suspended between the sacred and the profane, the past and the present, guiding visitors through the monastery. Inspired by the spellbinding music of Roland de Lassus, this performance evokes the prophetic words and oracles that once guided Greek heroes on their quest for greatness.
