FIELD COMMANDER ALI (Ali performed at the very first concert I organized in Saorge, over three years ago, with his duo MORNING STAR) She evokes a ghostly 16th-century poetess brought back to life in the hippie atmosphere of the ’60s to lead a shy yet powerful revolution of love! Calling all fans of Brigitte Saint-John, Vashti Bunyan, and music IN GENERAL! Act 2: JORDAN IRELAND, a childhood friend… frontman of the globally renowned band THE MIDDLE EAST (check out their track “Blood”; they toured with Zach Bryan last year—who is, apparently, the male equivalent of Taylor Swift??? How awful). As a solo artist, he creates transcendental soundscapes à la Alice Coltrane blended with John Fahey’s “primitive” guitars; his music evokes the rainforest where he grew up, with Leonard Cohen singing in the middle (from his early days before cigarettes and drugs)...
