Description
Cyprus holds the rotating presidency of the Council of the EU, giving priority to autonomy against a backdrop of global instability and security challenges. What can we expect from the EU? Is it getting stronger?
Cyprus currently holds the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union, and has placed the concept of autonomy at the heart of its agenda. In a world marked by escalating international volatility, the erosion of world order and growing challenges to European security and wider interests, what can we reasonably expect from the European Union? Is the EU getting bigger, stronger, better?
We are delighted to welcome Mr. Dionysis Dionysiou, Deputy Head of Mission of the Cyprus Embassy in Paris, to explore these questions and better understand Nicosia's point of view, shaped by its unique geographical and historical perspective.
