Description
Alexander's Feast by G.F. Handel!
Come and discover the great oratorio of Alexander the Great's feasts, staged and set to music by La Chambre
This year's festival program revolves around G.F. Handel's extraordinary oratorio Alexander's Feast.
An emblematic work in which celebration, music and poetry come together in a Baroque fireworks display centered on two mythical figures: Alexander the Great and Saint Cecilia, patron saint of musicians. Under the generous and passionate direction of Jean-Sébastien Beauvais and his ensemble LA CHAMBRE, with its soloists and orchestra, this concert will also be the fruit of a 5-day vocal workshop at the Sanctuaire de Laghet, in the Nice Trinité area, offering participants, as every year, the experience of plunging into the expressive and theatrical richness of a monumental work in an exceptional setting.
We will celebrate this great feast of Alexander and Saint Cecilia on July 12 at Sospel Cathedral.
