Description
Discover "Fanfaron" by Giambattista della Porta, the brilliant and whimsical Neapolitan author of the 16th-17th centuries, directed by the AIDAS school/cie of the great Carlo Boso!
Fanfaron, tells the story of Parabola, a reckless captain who, enamored of Oriana's beauty, organizes a terrible plot to prevent her from marrying Pirro. Pirro, accused of attempted murder, flees to Africa. Meanwhile, Oriana resists Parabola's amorous assaults. After ten years of exile, Pirro returns and Parabola is unmasked.
A play largely inspired by Commedia dell'Arte, where Italian-style melodrama intertwines with masked theater.
We cry, we laugh and we reflect on the worries of this world with the students from ESIAD (AIDAS) in Versailles, who travel the world to share their passion for "Art Theatre" for all with thousands of jubilant spectators.
