A Sensory Experience in the Heart of the Serre de la Madone Garden
This summer, the Serre de la Madone Garden is offering a unique guided tour, designed as an encounter between botanical heritage, the art of gardening, and the world of fragrance.
Every Saturday morning in July and August at 10 a.m., Christophe, a tour guide, takes visitors on a journey to discover this exceptional garden. The tour offers a deeper understanding of the site’s history, its landscape design, its plant collections, its terraces, its ponds, and the unique atmosphere of this Mediterranean acclimatization garden.
At the end of the tour, the experience continues with a Fragonard perfume-making workshop, held on the mandarin tree terrace near the main villa. This event holds special significance during this anniversary year, as Fragonard celebrates 100 years of flowers, fragrances, and expertise.
In this intimate setting, participants get a behind-the-scenes look at fragrance composition and discover the three main families of notes: top notes, which are fresh and immediate; heart notes, which reveal the fragrance’s personality; and base notes, which provide its longevity and signature. Guided through this sensory experience, they then create their own fragrance, inspired by the scents and botanical elements of the garden.
Participants welcome 10 minutes before the tour.
