Learn from an arboriculturist about the key aspects of the chestnut tree: understanding the environment, soil and diseases, orchard restoration and heritage skills.
How to maintain a chestnut grove? How can we restore old trees and encourage their development? What are the main factors influencing their growth and production?
This introductory day organized by the Conservatoire de la Châtaigne de la Roya (Roya chestnut conservatory) provides an opportunity to discover the key skills and knowledge related to the chestnut tree: understanding the environment, soils and microclimates, diseases and pests, orchard restoration, pruning and heritage skills.

- 9am-12pm - Morning indoor workshop, Le Prieuré - lunch on site
- 2pm-5pm - Afternoon on the conservatory's associative plot (Vallon Castagna)
