Miss Rainette and the Mystery of the Statue

From August through the end of September, the Serre de la Madone garden offers children a mystery game they can play on their own, under the mandatory supervision of an adult. Riddles, clues, and challenges allow them to explore the garden, its ponds, terraces, and statues in a fun and original way. Barnabé the beetle has disappeared. To figure out what happened to him, Miss Rainette—a detective who’s as curious as she is zany—needs the help of young visitors. One of the garden’s statues may have witnessed the scene, but first they’ll have to figure out which one it is… Together, young and old alike wander the garden’s paths in search of clues hidden among the terraces, ponds, leafy nooks, and statues. This activity allows families to explore Serre de la Madone at their own pace, while sharing a moment of reflection, observation, and togetherness. Investigation kits are available at the garden’s reception desk. Participants can then begin their journey at their leisure and proceed on their own. Throughout the visit, children observe their surroundings, gather clues, solve puzzles, and tackle various challenges. Their goal: to find the statue that holds the key to the mystery and help Miss Rainette discover what happened to Barnabé.
