Music, dance, theater… municipal schools are back in session! A new season is kicking off at the Crown Prince Jacques Cultural Center, with activities for children, teens, and adults alike. It’s up to you to choose your activity!
When it comes to music, there’s something for every style: piano, guitar, drums, violin, saxophone, trumpet, singing, flute, clarinet… as well as workshops in jazz, rock, electronic music/DJing, early music, choir, and even musical introduction classes for children as young as 6 months.
When it comes to dance, the focus is on classical, jazz, contemporary, and street dance. Activities are also offered for adults, including Pilates, stretching, music-based exercise, circuit training, jazz, and contemporary dance. For the youngest children, the motor skills program begins at 10 months.
For theater, workshops are open to youth ages 7 to 16 as well as adults, whether beginners or experienced performers. An open house is scheduled for September 9, starting at 4:00 p.m. for youth and 6:00 p.m. for adults.
Registration runs from September 1 to 10, 2026.
Music and dance classes resume: Monday, September 14
Theater classes resume: Wednesday, September 16
And if you’re still on the fence, free dance trial sessions are available from September 14 to 18.
