In the hilltop villages
Meet our artisans

Painting, ceramics or sculpture, all forms of craftsmanship are in the air at Menton Riviera & Merveilles! Like lemons, hurry to the heart of the hilltop villages to meet our passionate craftsmen. Every day, they skilfully craft true marvels, straight from their vivid imaginations.

To discover all their creative secrets, come with us to their workshops!

From village to village :

our artists and craftsmen

In the heart of each perched village, a multitude of artists await your visit!

The Terre de Verre workshop

Creating and restoring stained glass, fusing glass and painting, Adeline Rincent works the fragility of glass in the most beautiful of ways in her Terre de Verre workshop. Passionate and fascinating, she’s happy to share the ins and outs of her art, where beauty lies in the details. A visit to her studio is also an opportunity to treat yourself to a beautiful souvenir! In all transparency, we’re crazy about Tiffany lamps.

If you’d like to try your hand at the delicate art of glassmaking, come and make your own decorative object or piece of jewelry. Or perhaps you’d prefer to take part in a stained glass workshop? Don’t forget to book!

Sainte-Agnès

A veritable Belvedere of the Mediterranean, Sainte-Agnès is all about grandeur: the remains of its castle, its medieval garden, the Maginot Line Fort… and its artists!

The Ceramic Boutiquette

To treat yourself or as a gift, head for Agnès and Éric’s Boutiquette céramique! Here, each handmade piece is unique (just like its creator!). The guarantee of authentic objects…

You’ll love it too…:

Gorbio

A little nugget with a strong character, Gorbio is one of those authentic villages where it’s a pleasure to stroll. Take a stroll through the arched passageways and discover the small artists’ studios where you can stock up on souvenirs!

We invite you to discover…

Sospel

Peaceful, colorful and bucolic, Sospel immerses you in a medieval atmosphere unique to Menton, Riviera & Merveilles. It’s also a wonderful, bucolic natural setting at the gateway to the Mercantour National Park. All you have to do is put on your hiking boots or saddle up and set off to discover it!

We’ll be there in no time!

Menton

Labelled a “Ville d’Art et d’Histoire” (Town of Art and History), Menton surprises you at every street corner with its beauty… But also with the prowess of its artists.

Menton earthenware

Apron on and sticky clay in hand, Marie Hélène Roudier is ready to create wonders. Armed with her legendary dexterity, and a healthy dose of creativity, she fashions Faïences Mentonnaises… The fruit of a true tradition! She confides in us that she has taken up the torch from Eugène Perret-Gentil, who was already decorating Menton’s lemon ceramics in 1896. Here, time passes, talent is passed on… But excellence never fades!

Also not to be missed:
